This Luxury Train Departs weekly from Mumbai,every Wednesday (from October to April only)

This modern version of Palace On Wheels Train Tour operates weekly(from October to April) Ex.Bombay & covers beaches of Goa & World Heritage Cave frescoes of Ajanta-Ellora.
Day 01 : WED: MUMBAI depart:
By 1530 hrs reach VT Railway Station, Fort Area, Mumbai (now renamed World Heritage Site of Chatrapati Shivaji Rail Terminus) & report at Platform No 8/9 for check-in formalities of Deccan Odyssey Train Tour.
1630 hrs: Depart from Mumbai
2000 hrs: Dinner on board
Day 02 : THURS:GANPATIPHULE BEACH :
After early onboard breakfast proceed for visit to Ratnagiri town & memorial dedicated to famous Indian freedom-fighter & educationist Bal Gangadhar Tilak who coined the slogan "Freedom is my birthright"
Later drive to Ganpatiphule beach for rest & enjoy outdoors beach-side lunch.
Option to visit nearby located ancient sea-side temple dedicated to Hindu Elephant God-Lord Ganesha.
Afternoon enjoy backwaters boat cruise & cultural program through Western Ghats in Large Fishing Vessel.
Evening board back the Luxury Train & depart.

After early onboard breakfast drive to Malvan Jetty & visit 17th century Sindhudurg Sea Fort built by famous warrior king Shivaji Maharaj.
Later drive to virgin Tarkarli Beach to relax & enjoy outdoors lunch.
Afternoon enjoy backwater cruise to Walaval jetty in small motorboats.
Evening drive to Sawantwadi Shilpgram & experience the worksmanship of local artisans & handscraftmen followed by Cooking demonstration of regional delicacies & brief Cultural program.
By 1900 hrs Board The Deccan Odyssey at Sawantwadi Ralway Station & depart for Goa.

Day 04 : SAT : GOA :
0730 Hrs: Arrive at Karmali Railway Station
After early breakfast proceed for visit to World Heritage Site of 16th century Portugese Old Goa churches.
Later drive to Latin quaters of Panjim town & time free for shopping.
1330 hrs: Enjoy lunch in Taj Exotica Luxury Beach Resort,located in South Goa & time free to enjoy adventure beach activities.
1530 hrs: Depart from Goa Resort Hotel to reach Madgoan Railway Station & board Deccan Odyssey Train.
1645 hrs: Depart for Kolhapur.
Dinner on board.
Day 05 : SUN morning : KOLHAPUR
After onboard breakfast, proceed to visit Former Palaces of Maharaja of Kolhapur(now converted into museums); & famous hindu temples of Mahalaxmi (Goddess of wealth) and Mata Bhavani (Goddess of Power).
Also visit handicrafts stalls & enjoy cultural show.
1145 hrs: Return to Kolhapur Station & depart for Pune.
Lunch on board.
SUN Evening : PUNE :
1930 hrs: Arrive at Pune Railway Station & visit to Raja Kelkar cultural museum.
2115 Hrs: Return to Pune Railway Station & depart.
Late Dinner on board.
Day 06 : MON : AURANGABAD & ELLORA Caves :
After onboard breakfast drive from Aurangabad Station to 14th century Daulatabad Hill Fort. (literally - city of fortune).
Later enjoy excursion to World Heritage site of 9th to 12th century built Ellora Cave temples with murals of Buddhist,Hindu & Jain Gods.
Lunch - Aurangabad Taj Hotel with classical Indian performance.
Afternoon visit late 17th century built Bibi-ka-Makbara ,the so called "poor man's Taj Mahal" & time free for shopping.
1715 hrs: Drive back to Aurangabad Railway Station & depart for Jalgoan.

Day 07 : TUE Morning : AJANTA Caves :
After early breakfast depart from Jalgoan Railway Station for return excursion to World Heritage Site of Ajanta Buddhist Cave frescoes dating back to 2nd century BC.
1245 Hrs: Return to Jalgaon Station & depart for Nasik.
Lunch on board.
TUE Evening : NASIK :
1700 Hrs: Arrive at Nasik Railway Station & proceed for sightseeing tour of 18th century Hindu temple town & enjoy sunset oil-lamp ceremony on banks of Holy Narmada river(revered as Ganges of the South by Hindus)
2030 Hrs: Return to Nasik Railway Station & depart for Mumbai

Day 08 : WED : MUMBAI Return :
The Deccan Odyssey Luxury Train tours arrives back at CST Mumbai Station by 0730 hrs & you have option to check-out by 0800 hrs after early breakfast. Tour ends
